How it works
Ordering school meals online
Activate Your Account
You will receive an email from SchoolGrid inviting you to activate your account. Follow the instructions in the email to set up your account and complete your details.
Access the Meal Booking System
Visit the SchoolGrid platform via the Easy Lunch Company website and log in to your account. Here you can view menus, ingredients, nutritional information and book meals for your child.
Check Payment Requirements
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive Universal Infant Free School Meals, and eligible children in any year group who receive Free School Meals will not require payment. For children in Years 3–6 who are not entitled to Free School Meals, sufficient credit must be added to your account before meals can be booked.
Book Meals
Please select meals your child is most likely to enjoy. All pre-ordered meals must be booked online
Meet the Booking Deadline
Meals must be booked by 11:59pm on Tuesday for the following week. You can also amend or cancel bookings before this deadline.
Special Dietary Requirements and Support
If your child requires a special diet for medical or dietary reasons, please contact us to discuss the registration process before booking meals. If you need any assistance with your account or meal bookings, please contact us on 01403 741177 or email emma@theeasylunchcompany.co.uk.
Cancelling meals
It’s easy to cancel a meal when you need to
We understand that plans can change. Whether it’s an illness or a school trip coming up, we aim to make things as simple as possible.
If you need to cancel a meal, here’s what to do:
If your child is unwell
If your child is ill and cannot attend school that day, please telephone 01403 741177 or email emma@theeasylunchcompany.co.uk by 9am, and we will credit your account.
If your child has a school trip or day out
If your child is going on a school trip or day out, you need to cancel your meal within the booking deadline by 11.59pm Tuesday the week before. You will then not be charged for that meal.
To cancel, please use the SchoolGrid platform.

Special diets
Preparing the right meals for your child
If your child has an allergy, intolerance or other special dietary requirement, we’ll work closely with you to understand what they need and make sure everything is properly arranged.
If your child requires a special diet, please contact us on 01403 741177 or email emma@theeasylunchcompany.co.uk to discuss their individual needs.
You will be asked to complete a Special Dietary Request form, providing details of your child’s allergy or intolerance, the severity of their allergy or intolerance, and your contact details.
You will also need to supply a photograph so your child can be easily identified, along with a supporting medical letter from your doctor or consultant.
Providing fresh, suitable meals
Every child deserves a delicious lunch they can enjoy, made with their needs in mind. To cater for them safely, we need to have all of the required information in place. No special meals will be provided until this information has been received.
Once everything has been received and reviewed, we can make the appropriate arrangements so they can enjoy a wholesome meal at lunchtime.
